We were proud to support the delivery of Scotland’s first Topgolf venue, a major new sports‑entertainment destination located just off the M74 near Rutherglen. The impressive new facility marks Topgolf’s fourth UK site and brings the brand’s signature blend of sport, technology and hospitality to Scotland for the first time. Based in Dallas, Texas, Topgolf operates more than 70 venues across six countries and attracts over 30 million players each year, making the Glasgow development an important milestone in its continued expansion.

The project comprises a 45,000ft² steel‑framed building with concrete floors, wrapped in a mix of insulated and decorative cladding to create a striking, contemporary structure. At the heart of the venue is a three‑tier driving range featuring 72 climate‑controlled outdoor hitting bays, each electronically linked to Topgolf’s scoring system. Players aim at illuminated targets across the outfield, which is enclosed by a 52‑metre‑high perimeter net. The site also includes a bar, restaurant, event spaces and a large car park, providing a complete leisure environment designed to welcome high visitor numbers throughout the year.

Working closely with main contractor Luddon Construction and architect Cooper Cromar, our systems were expertly fabricated and installed across multiple elevations and internal areas by our supply chain partner Normax Windows Ltd.

The main entrance showcases our slim line SF52 aluminium curtain walling, featuring a silicone‑glazed toggle system to create a sleek, uninterrupted façade. Across the multi‑level hitting bay elevation, our SF52 fully capped curtain walling provides slim sightlines.

The entrance also features our aluminium shop front glazing (SFG) system and integrated SD automatic doors to ensure safe and efficient access for staff and visitors. This effective combination of our SFG system and integrated SD automatic doors has also been used for the internal glazed screens and door sets, while the building’s external fire exits have been created using our SPW500 aluminium doors.

Topgolf Glasgow has quickly established itself as a major leisure destination for the region, combining advanced sports technology with a bold architectural presence and we are delighted that our high‑performance aluminium systems play such an important role.
