Harrogate Civic Centre

The attractive new civic centre in Harrogate is set in a wooded conservation area in the leafy spa town of Harrogate.

Ever aware of their environmental responsibilities, energy efficiency was a key requirement by Harrogate Borough Council. Architects Farrell and Clark answered the brief by specifying Senior Architectural Systems’ Hybrid windows, doors and curtain wall.

Combining the durability of aluminium externally with the environmental and aesthetic benefits of timber internally, the Hybrid range provided a high performance, low maintenance solution that perfectly complements the natural beauty of the site.

The robust external aluminium can be powder-coated in any RAL colour whilst the attractive internal timber is available in a range of wood types and finishes.

The new Civic Offices provide a single site for staff, councillors and the public facilitating a ‘One Council’ culture with reduced running costs and improved operational efficiency. The emphasis on construction quality, including use of Senior’s Hybrid fenestration, aims to reduce overall operating cost by around £1 million.
