Blythe Valley Park is surrounded by 122 acres of mature parkland and includes a mix of properties for residential, commercial, industrial and leisure use. With 25 businesses employing 3500 people already up and running, and hundreds of new homes under construction, the next phase was to create a new neighbourhood hub which would seamlessly blend the growing residential and commercial communities.
Known as The Brambles, the new £7.5 Million scheme developed by IM properties, involved the construction of four mixed-use, high quality apartment buildings to act as a new neighbourhood centre.
A total of 48 one and two-bed apartments including 12 affordable homes are now available, 36 of which have been retained and let by IM Properties.
The apartments shout quality, with a comprehensive high specification glazing package from Senior Architectural Systems. This includes thermally efficient double glazed SPW600 windows to keep energy bills low and SPW600 Doors for main entrances and access to balconies, certified as Secured By Design to give peace of mind.
Sustainability is further ensured with renewable green technology to provide power to apartments and communal areas, cycle storage, electric car charging points, and an onsite electric pool car for short journeys. Level access ensures that all members of the community can benefit from the scheme.
Two of the buildings have ground floor retail space with Senior’s thermally efficient SF52 aluminium curtain walling providing a modern and welcoming façade. These will house food and retail outlets which will bring further employment to boost the local economy.
