The RIBA Journal together with its technical supplement ‘Products In Practice’ (PIP) is the leading publication for the architectural profession. So it was a great honour for Senior Architectural Systems, to welcome Jan-Carlos Kucharek Senior Editor for PIP and Midge Myatt, Business Development Manager at RIBA Journal to the company’s headquarters and factory in Denaby near Doncaster earlier this year.
Now the UK’s largest privately owned fenestration company, the RIBA Journal visitors were keen to see exactly what products and services Senior are able to offer RIBA members and find out why the company has been so successful.

After a visit to the main offices and extensive 86,000 sq ft warehousing facilities the guests were taken on a factory tour to see the vertical powder coating lines and quality control processes in action. Senior’s Doncaster plant is an impressive sight and the RIBA visitors Journal were certainly struck by the factory’s grandeur, describing it as “cathedral-like”.
Over lunch, Operations Director Mark Wadsworth, Sales Director James Keeling-Heane and Business Development Manager Sue Shaw answered questions and explained Senior’s ethos of putting the customer first, which they believe is the reason for the company’s success.

“It [Senior Architectural Systems] remains in the great British entrepreneurial manner, a local firm with big ambitions for the future.”
