Senior Glass Systems is sponsoring one of the numbers on this year’s “Beach Bingo” organised by Yorkshire Coast Radio, in a bid to win a £2,500 marketing campaign for Saint Catherine’s Hospice.
The Scarborough based glazing company, which produces high quality insulated glazed units for the fenestration markets, is one of 100 local businesses hoping to win free airtime on the region’s popular radio station.
Taking place at South Beach in Bridlington on Saturday 14th June, the Beach Bingo event provides great entertainment for locals and holidaymakers alike. This is the second year for the event which last year drew hundreds of spectators.
Over the next few weeks listeners to Yorkshire Coast Radio can call in to win a bingo ball by guessing how many “boings” are being played in a sequence. On 14th June, winning listeners will be invited to play “human” Beach Bingo, by standing on a marked out 100 square grid on the beach. As the bingo caller gives their number, they leave the grid until only one person is left.

The last person standing will win £2,000 cash and the business sponsor of the winning number will win an airtime campaign to the value of £2,500.
If Senior Glass has the winning number, the company have decided to donate the £2,500 marketing campaign to Saint Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough, which cares for people with life limiting or life threatening conditions and their families.
Michelle Damms, Operations Director at Senior Glass Systems said “Saint Catherine’s Hospice is a charity close to our hearts, having cared for one of our former employees. The Beach Bingo promises to be a great event and fingers crossed that we have the winning number, so that we can help this worthy charity to promote their much needed hospice facilities and services on air.”
