As Christmas approaches and with COVID restrictions still in force, we know that many more people than normal are suffering financial hardship this festive season.

Senior has been very fortunate to be able to keep operating right through the pandemic, so we want to share our good fortune by helping those who may be struggling to make ends meet this Christmas.

Throughout the festive season, we will be supporting Mexborough food bank, which is run by the fantastic team at Food AWARE. They are a not-for-profit social enterprise who set up to find innovative ways of redistributing surplus food that would otherwise go to waste.

Our donations of cans, cupboard essentials and toiletries will be vital for those people who are really struggling to put food on the table this winter.

Damion Vozniak-Sears, Senior’s HR Manager is overseeing the operation: ‘As a major employer in Denaby Main it is vitally important that we continue to engage and support our community in every which way we can. This initiative will help to nourish those individuals and families who most need it.”

We hope that our contributions will go some way towards making Christmas a special time for our local community. We wish them and our customers a very Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year.
