Main Roles and Responsibilities:

Design of façade systems from concept to completion. This is to include, basic design, budget preparation and Gantt chart production, for timely and efficient product lead times.

Ability to analyse buildings in detail for items such as slab deflection, building sway and long-term creep for suitability of product.

Attend design meetings to assist customers with product capabilities.

Attend sites to carry out analysis of fabrication/installation for compliance to manuals and produce detailed and accurate reports.

Provide technical support to all staff and customers for all SAS products. This may cover such things as fabrication issues, installation issues, analysis of suitability of products etc.

Produce and update Manuals of SAS products.

General assistance in day to day running of the department.

Attend test facilities to assist with product testing.

Requirements

An intricate understanding of the workings of facades, including drainage, thermal analysis, structural analysis, etc.

Good communication skills and ability to discuss products calmly and clearly.

Ability to use AutoCAD LT essential, Inventor and/or 3D desirable.

Desirable:

Previous Systems company experience.

Ability to analyse buildings and the challenges that different materials or construction methods can cause for facades.

The ability to discuss product capabilities with Architects and senior design team members confidently and accurately.

Good analytical skills and attention to detail with regard to installation and fabrication.

Ability to use programs such as Inventor and/or 3D CAD, Revit, Nastran, WinIso and Logikal desirable.
