Senior Architectural Systems, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of aluminium windows, doors and curtain wall systems, has formally signed the Armed Forces Covenant, strengthening its support for serving personnel, service leavers, veterans and their families.
The Covenant sets out a national commitment to ensure that members of the Armed Forces community are treated fairly and have access to the same opportunities as any other citizen. It also encourages organisations to recognise the contribution that service personnel and veterans make, and to help ensure they are met with fairness and respect across work, community life and wider society.
By signing the Covenant, Senior has joined a growing network of employers who are committed to supporting those with military backgrounds. This includes recognising the transferable skills that veterans and reservists bring to the construction and manufacturing sectors, and ensuring that no one faces disadvantages during recruitment, training or career progression as a result of their service.
Commenting, Senior Architectural Systems’ national specification manager Andrew Cooper said: “We are pleased to sign the Armed Forces Covenant and to formally acknowledge the contribution that serving personnel, veterans and their families make to our communities and our industry. The values associated with military service such as commitment, teamwork and resilience align closely with our own and we look forward to building on the support we offer as an employer.”
