National Process Manufacturing Centre, Kirklees College

Fenestration solutions from Senior Architectural Systems have helped secure a BREEAM rating of ‘excellent’ for the Kirklees College’s National Process Manufacturing Centre (NPMC) in Huddersfield.

Designed by KPP Architects, the new building features Senior’s SCW curtain walling which was specified and powder coated in an industrial grey colour to reflect the focus of the work within. The attractive façade has also benefitted from the addition of brise soleil solar shading and Senior’s SPW500 aluminium doors which were fabricated and installed by Aire Valley Architectural Ltd.

Located adjacent to the existing specialist Engineering Centre, the new NPMC building forms the second phase of the Kirklees College’s development of its engineering campus.  The project has been developed in conjunction with local companies to provide the region with specialist training for the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and other process manufacturing industries.
