The buildings were designed in favour of an organic, curved form which is in sympathy to the surrounding woodland and produces vitality and controlled spaces within.
The project won the Mid Sussex Design Award, which pays particular attention to designs that focus on high quality and sustainability.
The primary school was the first new build parent promoted self-governing school in the country, and required a number of innovative solutions to address the aspirations of the client groups. The use of Senior’s Hybrid Series 3 curtain wall produced a light and inviting environment for children to learn and develop within their home village.
