COVID-19 Update from Senior Architectural Systems

As part of the ongoing challenge to limit the spread of COVID-19, Senior Architectural Systems has made some temporary changes to our operations and services.

  • We have reduced our manufacturing production to limit the number of staff members working in our factory and to ensure that we are able to better observe the necessary social distancing measures and hygiene procedures. A small operational team has been retained at our Denaby site and strict measures have been put in place to ensure their safety. This includes making a number of changes to the layout of our factory and our usual ways of working. These modifications will enable us to continue to supply fenestration systems for a number of important contracts in the healthcare sector, including seven new hospitals, as well as essential education projects. We are also currently adapting our aluminium systems to provide protective screens for supermarket workers.
  • To support our clients who are still operational, we have a core team of experienced personnel from across all departments who are working from home and are fully contactable. A list of updated contact details can be found here.
  • Our distribution centre in Livingston has also temporarily closed. We are confident that lead times will not be affected but have made some changes to our delivery service. We are no longer offering ‘milk run’ deliveries of multiple orders for different customers in order to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. However, we have a fleet of delivery vehicles and will still be offering a nationwide service. All necessary precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of both our delivery staff and customers.

Our intention is very much to continue to serve our customers and the construction industry for as long as it is safe to do so, or until government advice changes. However, we will not hesitate to make any further changes that may be required in order to ensure the health and wellbeing of our essential staff who will continue working in our manufacturing facility. These changes will be communicated with our customers as soon as possible.

Thank you.
Mark Wadsworth, Managing Director.
