COVID-19 Update from Senior Architectural Systems

COVID-19 Update from Senior Architectural Systems

As part of our continued response to limit the spread of COVID-19, and in line with the latest government guidance, Senior Architectural Systems is currently in the process of conducting a full risk assessment of all its business operations. This will allow us to review and modify the temporary changes that were made at the start of the pandemic, and ensure we can continue to provide a safe working environment for all our staff and an efficient service for all our customers.

  • In response to the latest guidance in Scotland, and to better support our customers there, we are pleased to announce that we have reopened our Livingston distribution centre. The branch is currently operating with reduced staffing levels to adhere to the social distancing requirements. Although we are currently only providing a limited delivery service, customers can collect their orders from the branch as long as the social distance measures that have been put in place are adhered to. Our Livingston operation will continue to be supported by our Denaby team and our fleet of delivery vehicles that still offers a nationwide service.
  • Our Denaby site has been operational throughout and continues to support our clients working on key healthcare and education contracts as well as those who have returned to site over the last few weeks. We are currently operating at a reduced capacity with limited numbers of staff to ensure we are able to adhere to the necessary social distancing measures and hygiene procedures. We have also made a number of changes to the layout of our factory and our usual ways of working and these modifications are currently being reviewed as part of our business-wide risk assessment.   It is our aim to further increase our production levels when this has been completed as long as it is safe to do so.
  • A number of team members, comprising experienced personnel from across all departments, will continue to work from home and will continue to provide vital support to our operational clients. A list of updated contact details can be found here
  • As with all the changes that have been made throughout these unprecedented times, the health and wellbeing of our staff remains our key focus. Our Health and Safety and Human Resources team will continue to play a key role in helping to support our employees including those that are working on site, working remotely or currently on furloughed leave.

Our aim has always been to serve our customers and the construction industry for as long as it is safe to do so, or until government advice changes. This ethos remains unchanged and we will continue to adapt and respond to the ongoing challenges the construction industry faces.

Thank you.

Mark Wadsworth, Managing Director.
