The award winning UK Pavilion at Milan Expo 2015

Architects BDP are celebrating a double win at this year’s Manchester Architects Awards for the UK Pavilion at Milan Expo 2015 delivered by their Manchester office.

Working with artist Wolfgang Buttress, BDP turned his inspirational vision into a stand-out pavilion showcasing the very best of British design, technology and construction.

The government funded £6M project won the top award of ‘Building of the Year’ as well as ‘Best Completed Community Building’ at an award ceremony in Manchester earlier this month.

Mark Wadsworth, MD of Senior Architectural Systems whose British made Hybrid timber & aluminium composite windows were chosen by BDP for the UK Pavilion said “We are delighted that BDP have received recognition for their fabulous design of the UK Pavilion and would like to congratulate them on their achievement. It has been a pleasure to work with BDP and main contractor Stage One on such a prestigious project.”
