Supply chain collaboration with key partners ICA Glasgow, Galliford Try and T.A Anders & Co Ltd has seen Senior Architectural Systems nominated for a top prize at the first-ever AJ Specification Awards, which is organised by top architectural publication The Architects’ Journal.
The leading aluminium fenestration systems manufacturer has been shortlisted in the ‘Doors and Windows’ category for its work on the Hilton Garden Inn at Emirates Old Trafford hotel project in Manchester. Designed by architects ICA Glasgow, Senior’s high performance SPW600 aluminium casement windows, robust SPW501 and patented PURe® SLIDE aluminium doors and slim line SF52 aluminium curtain walling solutions have been expertly fabricated and installed by specialist T. A Anders & Co Ltd for main contractor Galliford Try.
The newly launched industry award scheme sets out to recognise and celebrate positive collaboration between architects and product manufacturers and to show the many benefits that early engagement can bring to a project. Also focusing heavily on product innovation, the awards highlight the important role that product manufacturers play in helping architects meet the required aesthetic and performance targets of modern-day buildings.
