Oakland Care Village

The partnership of Derbyshire County Council, Trident Housing Association and South Derbyshire District Council has come together to provide a £20million development of 88 purpose built one and two bedroom extra care apartments with 24/7 on site care, available to rent or buy, giving people the chance to live independently and stay together as a couple.

The design of the village incorporates a glazed roof and double height curved screen using Senior Architectural Systems unique timber composite Hybrid Series 3 curtain wall system flooding the main community area with natural daylight. This community area boasts a health and wellbeing zone, a cafe/bistro and bar open to residents and the public, a gym, shop and a hairdressing salon.
