Dixons McMillan Academy

Located on the former site of Bradford College, the creation of the city’s new free school involved the conversion of the existing building with the additional benefit of modern new build elements. A key feature of the new school is the extensive use of glazing which includes a striking glass frontage and double-height entrance.

The fenestration package includes two of Senior Architectural Systems’ aluminium curtain walling solutions, the slim-profile SF52 system and the thermally –efficient SCW+ system. Additionally, the new academy building features Senior’s SPW300 tilt/turn and SPW600casement aluminium windows and the robust thermally-broken SPW501 aluminium doors system which is a safe and secure solution for high-traffic school environments.
