ASIC Wakefield

The new Advanced Skills and Innovation Centre building, at Wakefield College in West Yorkshire, features Senior’s SF52 aluminium curtain walling , which was chosen both for its excellent thermal performance and design flexibility with a range of options available.

The modern design of the new-build three storey building features a mix of masonry brickwork and coloured cladding panels and used Senior’s SF52 Curtain Walling to add further interest to the building’s attractive façade design.

The slim profiles of Senior’s SF52 curtain walling system and SPW600e aluminium windows also maximises the use of light and space, helping to create a welcoming and comfortable learning environment.

The project uses the same specification of aluminium fenestration solutions used for the Lancashire Energy HQ at Blackpool & Flyde College adding to the strong portfolio of contracts across the North of England for Senior’s key supply chain partners Aire Valley Architectural Aluminium Ltd, Bardsley Construction and IBI Group.

Once again it demonstrates how close collaboration and early engagement between the project team and glazing systems manufacturer can really add value and help to achieve the desired criteria.
