Configuration:Casement (Open Out)

For a traditional look, the classic casement window is an ideal choice. PURe® casement windows can be either side hung or top hung to create an awning window. Open out casement windows are particularly useful over sinks, worktops or appliances where it’s important to keep the area clear.

  • Weather Rating tested to BS 6375-1:2009 achieving 600Pa air permeability, 600Pa water tightness and 2400Pa wind resistance.
  • Able to receive double or triple glazing up to 50mm for maximum thermal and acoustic performance
  • U-Values as low as 0.73 W/m²K when calculated as a commercial CEN standard window

Configuration:Tilt/Turn (Inward Opening)

The PURe® Tilt/Turn window gives a contemporary look and operates in 2 ways. It can be tilted open inwards from the top of the sash for ventilation, or the turn function can be used to open the window inwards from the side. The same handle is used to tilt, turn, open and lock the window. The inward opening design gives safe access to the window for cleaning, whist the tilt feature allows ventilation with restricted access to prevent children from climbing out. This makes Tilt/turn windows particularly useful for high-rise apartments.

  • Weather Rating tested to BS 6375-1:2009 achieving 600Pa air permeability, 600Pa water tightness and 2400Pa wind resistance.
  • Able to receive double or triple glazing up to 50mm for maximum thermal and acoustic performance
  • U-Values as low as 0.71 W/m²K when calculated as a commercial CEN standard window

Configuration:Overswing

The PURe® Overswing window gives a modern aesthetic and is designed with functionality in mind. This top hung window can initially open for ventilation and when needed, can fully reverse to allow the outside of the window to be cleaned easily from the inside.

  • Weather Rating tested to BS 6375-1:2009 achieving 600Pa air permeability, 600Pa water tightness and 2400Pa wind resistance.
  • Able to receive double or triple glazing up to 50mm for maximum thermal and acoustic performance
  • U-Values as low as 0.94 W/m²K when calculated as a commercial CEN standard window

Configuration:Parallel Push

The PURe® Parallel Push Window has a contemporary design with safety built in. Hinges on all sides of the window, allows it to be pushed open yet remain parallel to the wall. This gives maximum ventilation whilst keeping occupants safe. It is an ideal choice for schools, hospitals and high-rise developments where a restricted opening is required to prevent any risk of occupants falling from the window.

  • Weather Rating tested to BS 6375-1:2015 achieving 600Pa air permeability, 600Pa water tightness and 2400Pa wind resistance
  • Fully cycle tested and with PAS24:2016 Enhanced Security
  • Able to receive double or triple glazing up to 50mm for maximum thermal and acoustic performance
  • U-Values as low as 0.9 W/m²K when calculated as a commercial CEN standard window
  • Fully compatible with all our curtain wall systems

Configuration: Multi Frame

PURe® Multiframe combines PURe® Casement (open out) and PURe® Tilt and Turn (open in) into one system. With this innovative system you can combine classic casement open out windows that are particularly useful where its important to keep the space clear with contemporary tilt and turn windows which operate in two ways, tilted open inwards from the top of the sash for ventilation or turned inwards from the side.

  • Able to receive double or triple glazing up to 50mm for maximum thermal and acoustic performance
  • U-Values as low as 0.71 W/m²K when calculated as a commercial CEN standard window

PURe® Frequently Asked Questions

How does PURe® achieve ultra-low U-values??

By means of an innovative thermal barrier manufactured from expanded polyurethane, with inherent insulation properties which ensure that heat loss is minimal, and overall U-Values are significantly reduced. When specified correctly the PURe® range can give Uw-Values as low as 0.71 W/m2K for commercial CEN Standard windows.

Where can PURe® windows be used?

Anywhere, from commercial to domestic, education to healthcare, new build, refurbishment or retro-fit. Wherever they are used, PURe® windows can improve CO2 calculation by up to 3% at minimal extra cost.

Do PURe® windows meet current legislation?

Yes - the PURe® range has been designed not only to meet current legislation but exceed it. It has also been designed to exceed future legislation.

Are PURe® windows environmentally sound?

Yes – PURe® windows are 100% recyclable - Aluminium is a cradle to cradle product which can be recycled endlessly. The thermal barrier would typically be re-used as fillers for other products, with no requirement for landfill. The PUR® thermal barrier is also free from Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFC).

Can PURe® windows contribute to a credible BREEAM rating?

Yes - As BREEAM is a whole building evaluation, they can contribute significantly. Under the generic Green Guide, PURe® windows would typically be A rated in commercial use. Please contact us for assistance to maximise available BREEAM credits.

Is the PURe® thermal barrier as strong as Polyamide?

Yes - shear testing has been carried out in accordance with BS EN 14024:2004 and has consistently out-performed polyamide.

Are PURe® windows durable?

Yes – the PUR thermal barrier contains carbon black UV stabiliser to make it UV stable. Its closed cell construction prevents water absorption which means it will not rot and unlike wood the PUR barrier does not provide any 'food' for fungus and mould to grow. PURe® windows have a 25 year warranty, with an expected lifecycle in excess of 40 years.

Has the PURe® range been tested?

Yes, PURe® has been tested to relevant UK and European Standards for Shear strength, air permeability, water tightness and wind resistance.

How good is acoustic performance?

The PURe® range of windows benefit from glazing options to 50mm to allow enhanced acoustic performance.

How much does PURe® cost?

The PURe® range is competitively priced – no other aluminium system currently available beats our price for the performance. Even better because of the simplicity of manufacture, fabrication time is reduced, lowering comparative costs still further.

Is the PUR thermal barrier safe?

Yes - PUR has been has been tried and tested and used in the construction industry for many years (typically in cladding and insulation products). It is non-toxic, making it safe to handle and manufacture. PUR is non -flammable, has a Class '0' fire rating, does not give off toxic gases when burned and does not give off Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in use.

Is additional tooling needed for manufacture?

No - normal tooling used in the construction of aluminium windows will be sufficient.

Is special hardware needed?

No - the system is designed to incorporate the usual hardware and fittings (friction hinges, handles, espags, shoot bolts etc.) so no additional training or tooling is required.

Is the system available in all standard finishes?

Yes - all sections are supplied pre-finished, either polyester powder coated or anodised. There are no surcharges for dual colour.
